淨空老法師：領導人若能這樣做，下面都是人才！
學佛要懂得顧全大局。什麼是大局？對佛菩薩而言，是法界一切眾生；對我們初學來說，社會安定、國家興旺、世界和平，都是大局。起心動念、言語造作，都要想到大局。懂得大局的人，才能放下自私。
個人好惡若與大局衝突，要能為大局犧牲小我。領導人尤其要把公道與私情分辨清楚：不可徇私情而害公道。這是原則，不能疏忽。
古聖先賢教人「成人之美」——成就別人的好事，培養後進，使人盡其才。領導人以身作則，公正无私，寬以待人，嚴以律己，則左右皆可成才。反之，嫉妒障礙，人才也被埋沒。學佛人處世，當以恭敬、讚歎、成全別人為先行。

Buddhist study means caring for the greater good. For Buddhas and Bodhisattvas that is all beings of the Dharma-realm; for beginners it includes social security, national well-being, and world peace. Thoughts and deeds should consider that greater good, sacrificing selfish preference when it conflicts with justice.
Leaders especially must not favor private feelings over fairness. Help others succeed, train juniors, and lead by example—fair, strict with oneself, generous toward others—then people around you flourish. Jealousy buries talent; respect and support bring it forth.
